On Friday April 4th and Saturday April 5th, founder and head designer, Cecile Reinaud, visited Destination Maternity Madison Avenue and Paramus for two great events. Guests were able meet Cecile and shop the gorgeous new collection while enjoying mocktails and light bites from PICNIC Catering and Events. Mama Mio provided pampering hand and arm massages with their updated collection of products and butter LONDON™ provided mini manicures with our newest assortment of on-trend shades.

In honor of the launch of Séraphine at Destination Maternity and A Pea in the Pod, Cecile answers five questions about her brand, style and inspiration:

Describe your brand in three words.

Parisian-chic pregnancy.

What inspires you when designing?

I take inspiration from my native city of Paris to create the overall feeling of my collections, then I look at catwalk shows, trends and styles I see on the street to hone my ideas. First and foremost, I’m always inspired by the beautiful curves of the pregnant figure. I love to design styles that will grow and adapt to a woman’s changing shape, and can be worn before, during and after pregnancy.

What are the three key pieces every mom-to-be should own?

A flattering pair of maternity jeans, A little black maternity dress, and a stylish scarf for accessorizing.

How would you style your favorite piece from the collection?

My favorite piece is the Short Sleeve V-neck Twist Front Maternity Shirt – it’s so versatile! I’d wear it with skinny jeans for a casual look, or with leather pants and heels for a more vamped up evening look.

What celebrity mom or mom-to-be do you admire for their fashion choices?

We’ve been honored to dress a number of super stylish celebrity moms in Séraphine and it’s always a pleasure to see how they each wear our clothes differently to suit their own style. I loved seeing Gwen Stefani in our clothes recently – as a designer herself, she really nailed her pregnancy style.

My little guy doesn't love his veggies, but there's a few I know I can always get him to eat, so I make them often! Roasted asparagus is one of them. I trim the asparagus and toss it with a little olive oil, sea salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon and roast it in a 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. You can also throw it on the grill! #babybump #DMtakeover #againstallgrain @againstallgrain We're visiting family in the mountains and our outdoor plans are being postponed by a thunder and hail storm! So puzzles, coloring, board games, and Lego building are in order. Do any of you other pregnant mommas welcome lazy days like this? I know I do! The weather won't keep us from barbecuing the tri-tip that's been marinating later though! @againstallgrain #DMtakeover All finished! For those of you that are unfamiliar with me, I eat a #paleo diet due to an autoimmune condition I was diagnosed with in 2007. I've been able to maintain the way of eating, and my health, during this pregnancy by recreating old favorites in a healthy way instead of giving into the major cravings. We just puréed some strawberries and raspberries with a little lime juice and a couple of tablespoons of honey then strained the mixture to remove the seeds. Have you guys ever tried these awesome reusable Popsicle pouches? We love them! I have a recipe for Watermelon Pineapple pops on my blog Againstallgrain.com as well for more inspiration! #againstallgrain #popsicles @againstallgrain #DMtakeover I don't know why, but I can't resist fruit when it has the stem and cute leaves still on! 🍓These raspberries were in such perfect shape and we picked up some strawberries at the market so my little guy and I are going to make some healthy Popsicles to enjoy. I've been craving so much fruit during this pregnancy and frozen fruit is irresistible and so satisfying! #daniellescravings @againstallgrain #DMtakeover
