Is your baby shower approaching? Don’t panic! I’ve got you covered with some totally chic options that are perfect for a spring shower.
Coral is trending right now and I love it for a baby shower, especially if you’re expecting a girl! The pleating on this dress is feminine without being too frilly which works perfectly with a bump. Pair with metallic accessories for a fresh modern finish. And I suggest going with a wedge since it gives you some height without being too high! Head over www.destinationmaternity.com for the full assortment of shower-perfect dresses! Congrats! -Olivia

Shades of indigo from breezy blues to chambray are in for spring. The denim on denim look truly ushered in this trend, but jeans look equally good when paired with a soft or even bright blue. In a maternity maxi, silk top or a fun accessory, we love this color for moms-to-be for spring! -Olivia

The exclusive Rachel Zoe Collection for A Pea in the Pod has finally arrived online and in stores! Following a fabulous launch party in West Hollywood and store events across the US celebrating the new collaboration, we sat down with Rachel to talk about the Spring line.
Rachel’s trademark bohemian style is woven throughout the collection, which balances timeless silhouettes with tailored classics. Excluding a polished glamour while remaining effortless and functional, the Spring collection includes carefree caftans and tunics and flowing dresses juxtaposed with structured jackets.
Rachel admits, “I lived in draped maxi dresses and structured jackets during my pregnancy. Whether you’re in your first or third trimester, these are two silhouettes you can mix and match into your wardrobe throughout your pregnancy. Give your maxi a little daytime glamour and layer on the jewelry, add a pair of sunnies and opt for metallic sandals. When it comes to your favorite LBD, add an edge with a cool black biker jacket”.
Rachel’s iconic style truly comes through in this collection. Filled with must-have items and statement makers, we think you’ll love the line! -Olivia

Last weekend, we celebrated our exclusive collection with style maven Rachel Zoe by throwing shopping celebrations in select A Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity stores throughout the country. While shopping, guests enjoyed macarons from Dana’s Bakery personalized with our hashtag #RachelZoexAPIP in flavors like chocolate molten and jelly doughnut- YUM! Décor included all white floral arrangements with peeled back roses and hydrangeas (Rachel’s favorites).
I had the pleasure of hosting two of the events in sunny Aventura and Coral Gables, Florida. It was so much fun to meet with clients and introduce them to the collection! I was able to advise on the best ways to style the bump while helping the expecting moms-to-be shop for their maternity essentials and wardrobe.
Los Angeles-based blogger Leanne Barlow hosted the event in Beverly Hills and looked GORGEOUS in the Rachel Zoe Printed Caftan Maternity Dress.
Bloggers Nicole Gonzalez of Lillies and Leon, who also donned the caftan, and Staci Acquasanta of Leather and Leops, who rocked the Rachel Zoe Exposed Zipper Maternity Mini Dress, hosted the event in New York. Plus, DreamDry,the premier blowdry and styling salon co-founded by Rachel, held a braid bar to add even more boho-chic flair.
Don’t fret if you missed our events! The collection is available online and in stores.
Hope to see you at our future shopping events! Xoxo- Olivia

Even though you’ll be lugging diapers, there’s no reason you can’t do so in style! You’ll need a bag that is chic yet durable, and has lots of room and compartments. Here are a few of my favorites that I think are well worth the investment. You’ll notice a theme in the colors but with this bag getting so much mileage, you will want a dark color to conceal the wear and of course black goes with everything! -Olivia

Between being preggers myself and working with so many mamas-to-be, I have quite a few insider secrets to share that will help you nail your maternity look and feel your best for nine months and beyond. Read on for some of my favorite “hacks” and essentials every expecting women needs to know!
When it comes to maternity essentials, a side-ruched tee, cardigan, Secret Fit Belly® jeans and leggings, and maxi dresses are your best friends and for good reason! Not only are they the foundation of a great maternity wardrobe, you’ll be able to wear them after baby, too. They can also easily be mixed and matched together for looks that get you through any season.
A tummy belt is another secret to help you in those first few weeks, when you may want to keep your baby bump a secret. The little piece of elastic and button helps you adjust your jeans for the right fit. Alternatively, a tummy tube or tummy sleeve can be worn low on your waist, over your pants to smooth and support your bump.
For a universal bra with tons of room to grow, look for a maternity sports bra. Of course you’ll want to work in your favorite maternity bra styles throughout your pregnancy, but if you’re looking for a versatile no fuss fit- try a sports bra and try it early.
Did you know that keeping hydrated is paramount when you are pregnant? Staying hydrated also helps with nausea. For even better hydration and extra electrolytes, snack on pineapples. To beat nausea, pop some SweetTarts®. Trust me, they do the job like all of these tips and tricks! Xoxo, Olivia

Move over skinnies, Joggers are on the scene! The jogger is the perfect trend for expecting mamas who want the comfort of an easy silhouette. It can so easily be styled up with a jacket and heel or styled down with chic flats and a tee. Wear it before and after baby, too, for tons of wardrobe mileage! -Olivia
