Cool Contrast: Cashmere vs. Tweed

maternity jacket

It’s officially fall! This season, we long for the plush comfort of luxurious cashmere. The ultimate in softness, cashmere keeps you both warm and comfortable. We adore the draping of this maternity sweater in a fall-perfect oatmeal shade.

In contrast, cooler temperatures have us longing for tweed such as this expertly cut maternity jacket, which you will wear all season long. The rough yet intricate weaving of this tried and true fabric is always a seasonal favorite, perfect for the office or an outdoor fall festival. Whether structured in tweed or comforted by cashmere, both are must-haves this season.

Shop our tweed and cashmere maternity clothes at A Pea in the Pod.

All finished! For those of you that are unfamiliar with me, I eat a #paleo diet due to an autoimmune condition I was diagnosed with in 2007. I've been able to maintain the way of eating, and my health, during this pregnancy by recreating old favorites in a healthy way instead of giving into the major cravings. We just puréed some strawberries and raspberries with a little lime juice and a couple of tablespoons of honey then strained the mixture to remove the seeds. Have you guys ever tried these awesome reusable Popsicle pouches? We love them! I have a recipe for Watermelon Pineapple pops on my blog Againstallgrain.com as well for more inspiration! #againstallgrain #popsicles @againstallgrain #DMtakeover I don't know why, but I can't resist fruit when it has the stem and cute leaves still on! 🍓These raspberries were in such perfect shape and we picked up some strawberries at the market so my little guy and I are going to make some healthy Popsicles to enjoy. I've been craving so much fruit during this pregnancy and frozen fruit is irresistible and so satisfying! #daniellescravings @againstallgrain #DMtakeover I've had to eat a substantial breakfast pretty much first thing during this pregnancy to avoid feeling sick and have energy through the day. I made a scramble with some beautiful farm-fresh pastured eggs, crispy bacon, potatoes, and spinach for everyone this morning! Now to prep some festive Popsicles and tonight's sides. @againstallgrain #DMtakeover It's our first day of summer here since this little guy graduated preschool Friday! We're going to take our time getting the day started and snuggle on the couch for a bit. This momma is tired! He's munching on a Hidden Veggie Muffin (grain-free and packed with vegetables!) from my first cookbook Against all Grain. Throw some mini dairy-free chocolate chips into them for an extra special treat!
