Last week we celebrated A Pea in the Pod’s new and exclusive collection with Rachel Zoe in Los Angeles at The Chateau Marmont. The hotel is timeless and every bit glamourous, a perfect choice for the intimate gathering in honor of Rachel and her first ever maternity collection.
Upon arriving, Rachel, who donned a one shoulder black caftan, and husband Rodger excitedly shared photos taken earlier in the day of sons Skyler Morrison and Kaius Jagger. Hollywood mammas and mammas-to-be Jaime King, Casey Wilson, Vanessa Lachey, Tiffani Thiessen, Claire Coffee and Elizabeth Berkley joined the fete soon after. We all indulged in mocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres like pesto parmesan tortellini skewers and parmesan cups filled with mozzarella, tomato and basil.
Jaime, Casey, Tiffani and Claire all wore pieces from the Rachel Zoe Collection for A Pea in the Pod, opting for the Printed Caftan Maternity Dress, Exposed Zipper Maternity Mini Dress, Sleeveless Maternity Maxi Dress and Printed Shift Maternity Dress. I love how each made her outfit her own, really demonstrating the versatility of the collection and how flattering the pieces are on different figures. Casey chose a leopard printed open-toe high heel (totally glam!) while Claire added a denim jacket, for a more playful yet chic statement. Jaime, who wore her hair long and flowing, nailed the quintessential Bohemian aesthetic Rachel’s pieces are known for. Plus, she brought the best accessory of the night by far—her mom!
The party ended on a sweet note with to-go boxes from Dana’s Bakery which included birthday cake flavored macarons, a precursor to another party Rachel would be attending later in the week: son Skyler Morrison’s fourth birthday party!

We had a great styling event last week at our Beverly Hills A Pea in the Pod store! Clients came and spent time with Seraphine Maternity designer Cecile. We sipped on mocktails and enjoyed macarons from Bottega Louie– YUM! The Spring Line from our Seraphine Collection, which is now available in stores and online, features pretty dresses, tops and even cute swimwear. I look forward to our next event! Hope to see you there. Xoxo- Olivia

Now that we’ve officially announced our new line with Rachel Zoe, I am so excited to fill you in on what happened behind-the-scenes at our shoot at Smashbox Studios in LA back in January! I met the always glamorous Rachel (who did not disappoint in a classic black fur vest and 70’s flares!) and chatted with her about her first-ever maternity collection.
Rachel’s outfit seemed especially fitting when she let us know that the ’70s were her inspiration in designing the maternity collection for A Pea in the Pod. The effortless chic and glamour that categorized the era is sure to resonate with moms-to-be like Rachel who have to do it all with not a lot of time.
My son Greyson is close in age to Rachel’s two children so we had a few stories about our lovable and energetic boys to share. As another working mom in the fashion industry, I am especially inspired by Rachel’s ability to balance her work and love of fashion with motherhood….plus did I mention she’s a blast to hang out with?
Take a look for yourself and watch the video and then head over to our site to sign up to be among the first to shop her collection, available this March. –Olivia

Since Pam and Gela for A Pea in the Pod launched in stores and online, I’ve been obsessed with the maternity collection. You don’t even need to be pregnant to wear it- example, I live in chic sweatshirts and soft joggers on the weekends (sometimes even style them for work!) and the separates from the line are just bananas! My favorite is the cold shoulder sweatshirt since it does double duty. Take it out with leather leggings and a stand-out heel. I really do love all of the pieces for expecting mamas (and new moms too!) Check out the full collection available online and in stores at A Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity. – Olivia

We’ve teamed up with Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor to offer an exclusive collection from the legendary designer duo’s Pam & Gela label. Tailored specifically for expecting moms, the five-piece collection consists of statement sweatshirts and jogger pants in a sophisticated palette of gray and black prints. Fabrics including French terry and velour make this collection both chic and cozy, perfect for your winter wardrobe and beyond. Take it from the women who designed it, “The Pam and Gela High-Low sweatshirt is not only a chic fashion staple, but a must-have item for the season! Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t look totally Cali-cool and on trend!… We wear these track pants from day into night – you can pair them with your favorite T shirt and a leather jacket for the ultimate California Cool look that’s super comfortable, but so chic.”
I’ve been a fan of their signature laid-back, luxury style that always boasts a rock & roll yet boho feel. The successful pair is the original co-founders of Juicy Couture, but actually started in maternity wear: “It’s so fun to return to our beginnings; not many people know that we started our first business with maternity jeans. We’re really excited to partner with A Pea in the Pod® this season and to offer our sexy, California cool style to women who want to keep their fashion A-game going during pregnancy!”
The pieces can be worn together or separately for a casual yet glam look, and range in price from $98 to $225. It is high-fashion, but also accessible, plus Hollywood IT girls and famous moms like Naomi Watts, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba and Reese Witherspoon have been spotted in these styles. Even Jennifer Lawrence loves the line! You can wear these pieces long after (or before) pregnancy. The collection is available in select A Pea in the Pod® and Destination Maternity® stores and also online at apeainthepod.com and destinationmaternity.com. The amazing creators have this final sentiment for our fans, “We’re excited to share our love of comfort and cool with you exclusively available at Pea In The Pod! Forever #pamandgela.” – Olivia

Rebecca Minkoff has been a favorite designer of mine for some time, and I’m excited that we at Destination Maternity have collaborated with her on a new maternity collection, exclusive to A Pea in the Pod and launching this week.
Rebecca is a mother herself and actually worked on this line during her second pregnancy this past year, so she definitely had maternity style on the mind! That’s what is great about this specific collaboration. Rebecca Minkoff is admired by celebrities, but now our customers have the chance to fall in love with true pregnancy fashion. Her globally recognized brand is accessible to you and I love proving that pregnant women do not need to lose their sense of style when they’re expecting! This maternity collection brings Rebecca’s edgy, yet chic style sensibility to our brand, which I believe fits nicely amongst our other featured designers. Some of my favorite stands outs from the collection are the soft printed maternity pant, modern maternity camisole and fuchsia silk maternity dress. What’s great about these pieces and the complete assortment is how versatile they are. I always say it, I know, but for me being a busy working mom, having that ability to mix and match pieces to create different looks is crucial! Rebecca’s ready-to-wear options make getting dressed easy (and fun) to do. -Olivia Maternity Blazer, Slim Leg Maternity Pants // Short Sleeve Maternity Dress // Rebecca Minkoff Clutch // Booties // Maternity Belt // Blazer, Tee, & Slim Leg Maternity Pants // Crew Neck Maternity Top // Ring // Rebecaa Minkoff Diaper Bag

Chic sweatshirts are hot for fall, but they aren’t the bulky, college logoed, gym kind. These are embellished, printed, leather detailed & crafted from luxe fabrics. These are the new fashion-forward sweatshirts that add a polished appeal to any look. Designed with the bump in mind, these sweats are great before and after baby. Dress them up; dress them down- they’re the versatile piece for mamas that I love. -Olivia
