Brooke Anderson, co-host of Entertainment Tonight, was simply gorgeous in her custom-made silk crepe gown by A Pea in the Pod at the 2013 Emmy Awards! Rocking the red carpet, Brooke worked her look to the nines as she interviewed the nominees and mingled with Hollywood’s brightest stars.
Fashion-forward purple accessories, including gorgeous suede d’Orsay pumps by Manolo Blahnik, Bellarri jewels and deeply-hued nails, added the perfect amount of depth to compliment her red-hot look. A Pea in the Pod Associate Designer, Susie Hawkins, explains her vision:
“For Brooke’s Emmy red carpet dress we wanted to design something that really expressed Brooke’s love of fashion and showed her personality, without hiding her baby bump. Fiery bright cherry red was all over the runways at New York Fashion Week and is very on-trend for the current season, and it suits Brooke’s coloring very well. High slits were also prominent on the runways, and provided a perfect way to interpret the peplum trend. We wanted to keep the cut and lines of the dress very sleek and modern, and the silk crepe lends the structure needed for this sophisticated shape.”
Sexy and sophisticated all in one, Brooke’s entire look is one to covet from head-to-toe. Shop our red carpet-ready maternity dresses from A Pea in the Pod!

One word every expectant (or new) mom wants to hear is, easy! And when it comes to hair, this is as true as ever. Take a look at these sophisticated yet simple-to-do hairstyles that will have you out the door in no time.

The easiest style of all, the ponytail is always a go-to! Tie up your tresses with a simple band that matches your hair color. Leave it at that, or add some volume by curling the strands of your pony for a night out or special event.

Buns are back and here to stay! To achieve this gorg style, put your hair into a low ponytail and secure with a band. Starting from the nape of your neck, twist your pony down to the ends; keeping the twist intact, wrap it around the hairband in a circular motion until you have formed your bun. Secure the bun with bobby pins to keep it steady.

One of the simplest ways to add some instant style a braid or two! Leaving your hair down, braid a one-inch section of your hair on either side of your part; pull each braid back so they meet in the center of the back of your head. Finally, secure the ends with bobby pins for a look that’s boho-beautiful.

When in doubt, try some texture! Many hair care brands carry texturizing sprays that help to create those beachy waves that celebrities wear so well. To glow like Kate, while your hair is damp, apply a liberal amount of spray from root to tip, and then flip your hair over. Using your fingers and a diffuser hairdryer attachment, gently blow-dry your hair. When dry, flip your hair right side up and instant waves will be upon you!
