Step 1: Make a pattern for the owls.

Step 2: Cut out the fabric needed for the owls. Use flannel. felt and other fabric for the eyes and wings.

  • Two pairs of socks;
  • Cute cupcake baking cups (gender specific or gender neutral);
  • A cupcake or pastry box, which can be found at your local craft store.

DIY Wednesday: Nursery Wall Circles

We have been daydreaming about this gorgeous wall design from blogger, Aedriel! The second we saw it, we knew it was too cute not to share. Incredibly easy to DIY, check out her instructions below for the step-by-step:

 Materials:

– Embroidery hoop

– A scrap piece of fabric that is a few inches wider than the hoop

– Scissors

– Elmer’s glue (you can also use a hot glue gun)

Instructions:

– Place the fabric in the embroidery hoop.  Make sure to pull the fabric so that it is taut.

– Flip the embroidery hoop over so that the wrong side is facing you.

– Place a small amount of glue all the way around the edge of the inside hoop.

– Press the fabric into the glue.

– Once the glue is dry, trim the fabric around the edge of the hoop and the finished hoop is ready to hang!

What better way to announce your little one’s arrival than with a custom birthday onesie? We love this DIY project from Fancy Frugal Life. Quick, easy and adorable, this onesie is a great way to capture and share your baby’s first precious moments with friends and family.

All you’ll need is a white onesie, a sharpie, an iron on quick fuse sheet, an iron and a computer and printer. After you’ve made and printed out your calendar (detailed directions on Fancy Frugal Life), snap a photo of your little one and send it via email or make copies at your local printer to distribute to loved ones. Personal, inexpensive and gushingly cute, we can’t think of a better way for your baby to make their first appearance!
