What to Wear, Where // New Mom Edition

W2WW NewMom- Part1 v1 W2WW NewMom- Part2 v1Being a new mom, things can get pretty hectic with the inclusion of a baby! This especially rings true if you are a first time mom, like I was, because everything is brand new: baby, schedule, body! It can be overwhelming. I know it was for me! Whether you are breastfeeding, or bottle feeding, have help, or are doing this new-mom thing on your own… I found it helpful to have a routine.

Having some control over a (semi) set schedule helped me, if nothing else! Since my son was a handful those first few months (a cranky breast feeder with absolutely no sleep schedule for at least 4-5 months) it helped me stay sane having a personal routine and an easily accessible arsenal of clothing, skincare and household products on hand. Seriously, I stocked my house with necessities like paper towels, tide and toilet paper, as well as comfy maternity layering pieces for myself. They were lifesavers, because I could mix them, match them and leave the house looking put-together on little to no sleep.

When I brought Greyson home, I lived in nursing camis, maternity leggings and maternity cardis. I continued to wear my Secret Fit Belly® maternity jeans and maternity pants because I loved the support (and still do!) I honestly just fold the panel down and it smooths and supports me in all the right places. Easy tunics and draped cardigans, like the ones from our Jessica Simpson Maternity Line, are also perfect since as a new mom I still wanted pieces that were fashionable, not just comfortable. And if you breast feed, you’ll love our easy clip down nursing feature on all of our bras and camis.

Congratulations on being a new mom & welcome to my world! – xoxo Olivia
