What comes to mind when you think of fall? It’s a sensory season filled with good food, crunchy leaves, rich colors, the sounds of nature… right down to the smell of fruits, nuts and spices! One of my fall favorite memories growing up was indulging in fresh, hot Apple Cider Donuts from the local farmer’s market. Now I get to introduce my little boy to this experience, hopefully making it a family tradition for seasons to come.
My family has been getting the same donuts and cider from the same market for generations. I can taste them now as I write this and while I wish I could share these scrumptious goodies with you, I did find a great recipe that will get you in the seasonal mood. Hopefully you and your children (or children-to-be!) can create a fall family tradition out of making them together. And I’m sure all of you expecting mamas could use a donut to curb your pregnancy cravings. With some cinnamon kisses – enjoy! Olivia
