Every year my family and I get away to the Pennsylvania Poconos for a fun ski weekend. My husband is an avid snow boarder and my 20-month old son loves being outdoors, so it was a perfect trip for all of us! Hot cocoa by the fire and ski-in, ski-out accommodations were my only specifications.
Since getting away with a toddler can be challenging, we had our extended family with us so everyone spent time with Greyson, leaving a little free time for my husband and I. Luckily, we had some extra hands, but in case you get the chance to take a family trip without grandparents, aunts or uncles, here are some tips on a worry (less) weekend with little ones.Keep consistency; we packed Greyson’s favorite toys and had them set up for him just as he would at home. I also brought tons of his favorite snacks, and tried my best to keep to his normal nap schedule. Vacations are for special moments and tons of fun, but trust me, letting your toddler off to his own devices and sleep schedule can lead to major (but preventable) melt downs
Of course, packing for a whole family can be a challenge too, but I’ve learned to keep it simple. Lots of layers, if you are expecting or not, are super important! I always carry my favorite Chapstick and moisturizers to keep me hydrated in the cold weather too. -OliviaHonest Skincare // Ski Mask // Scarf // Maternity Sports Bra // Naturopathica Skincare // Maternity Camisole // Bundle Me Combo Pack
