As a health-conscious mom to a toddler, it’s important to me to find more nutritious ways to enjoy snacks and desserts. Our family has recently become obsessed with smoothies which are a refreshing treat for summer and Greyson especially LOVES them! We have a garden of strawberries ready for picking and in the mornings, we make smoothies for breakfast. For a more indulgent take, I decided to try popsicles! Just take your favorite smoothie recipe and freeze into a popsicle mold (or make your own.) These are good any time of the day and perfect for a mom-to-be and her family who craves something sweet but without the guilt. Enjoy! -Olivia
- 1 Cup Strawberries
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 1 Banana
- 1 Cup Yogurt (Try Greek for a tangier taste!)
- 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
- Blend strawberries, blueberries, banana, yogurt and juice until smooth.
- Pour into popsicle mold; freeze until solid- between 5-10 hours or overnight.
