Food definitely comes in and out of fashion. Kale had a couple of years, avocado toast seems to be the best thing since sliced bread, and microgreens are having a macro moment. And of course, there’s the pulse of social media making food so stylish that we like, share, and repost lunch like it’s runway ready. For us, we are dishing up [pun totally intended] cravings and clothing that are sweet, savory, salty and stylish. What are better pairings than these?
Sweet pomegranates are literally bursting with juicy flavor and color. The deep red seeds are a little tart, and totally stunning on camera. We love the way they look with shades of wine, mixed berries and dark reds. The super soft hacci knit maternity dress is one we love in any shade, but this burgundy/black number is trending right along with the autumn fruit. You’ll love it so much you may just want it in grey, teal or olive too.
Sweet is nice, but savory is downright satiating. Our navy maternity sweater is cozy, yes, but also striking. The rich blue is perfect for this time of year. We like our outfits with the ultimate food duo: chips and dip. We chose to shoot crunchy blue-corn tortilla chips with artichoke and spinach dip. Classy, crunchy, crave-worthy. Oh, and this sweater also comes in radicchio, you know the leafy vegetable in the shade of a pomegranate! Go ahead and snap a picture of you in blue. Stay salty Mama – it’s not always a bad thing!
We have your sweet, we have your salty, but let’s talk about crossover cravings: salty and sweet! Popcorn covered with chocolate is a pretty perfect pair. We shot it against our maternity maxi dress featuring a sweet dusty pink pleated skirt and a soft black top. The contrast actually creates a balance and therefore is representing salty and sweet, again a pretty perfect pairing. [Editor’s Note: This style is dropping next week, so head to your local store to get it before Thanksgiving or make it your holiday must when it’s shoppable online!]
