With summer almost here, a wardrobe that keeps you cool and comfortable is a must, especially if you are expecting! The one item I tell every mom-to-be to invest in if they are expecting during the warmer months is a maxi! An instant outfit, a maxi is versatile enough to be worn throughout your whole pregnancy. This version from Isabella Oliver is one of my favorites. The simple knit print and side-ruching feature makes this dress extremely flattering. For an effortless and on trend weekend look, I suggest pairing a maxi with a thong sandal, panama hat and cuff. Dress things up for an evening out with a wedge, statement necklace and jacket. Happy styling -Olivia

Last weekend, we celebrated our exclusive collection with style maven Rachel Zoe by throwing shopping celebrations in select A Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity stores throughout the country. While shopping, guests enjoyed macarons from Dana’s Bakery personalized with our hashtag #RachelZoexAPIP in flavors like chocolate molten and jelly doughnut- YUM! Décor included all white floral arrangements with peeled back roses and hydrangeas (Rachel’s favorites).
I had the pleasure of hosting two of the events in sunny Aventura and Coral Gables, Florida. It was so much fun to meet with clients and introduce them to the collection! I was able to advise on the best ways to style the bump while helping the expecting moms-to-be shop for their maternity essentials and wardrobe.Los Angeles-based blogger Leanne Barlow hosted the event in Beverly Hills and looked GORGEOUS in the Rachel Zoe Printed Caftan Maternity Dress.
Bloggers Nicole Gonzalez of Lillies and Leon, who also donned the caftan, and Staci Acquasanta of Leather and Leops, who rocked the Rachel Zoe Exposed Zipper Maternity Mini Dress, hosted the event in New York. Plus, DreamDry,the premier blowdry and styling salon co-founded by Rachel, held a braid bar to add even more boho-chic flair.
Don’t fret if you missed our events! The collection is available online and in stores.
Hope to see you at our future shopping events! Xoxo- Olivia

Between being preggers myself and working with so many mamas-to-be, I have quite a few insider secrets to share that will help you nail your maternity look and feel your best for nine months and beyond. Read on for some of my favorite “hacks” and essentials every expecting women needs to know!
When it comes to maternity essentials, a side-ruched tee, cardigan, Secret Fit Belly® jeans and leggings, and maxi dresses are your best friends and for good reason! Not only are they the foundation of a great maternity wardrobe, you’ll be able to wear them after baby, too. They can also easily be mixed and matched together for looks that get you through any season.
A tummy belt is another secret to help you in those first few weeks, when you may want to keep your baby bump a secret. The little piece of elastic and button helps you adjust your jeans for the right fit. Alternatively, a tummy tube or tummy sleeve can be worn low on your waist, over your pants to smooth and support your bump.
For a universal bra with tons of room to grow, look for a maternity sports bra. Of course you’ll want to work in your favorite maternity bra styles throughout your pregnancy, but if you’re looking for a versatile no fuss fit- try a sports bra and try it early.
Did you know that keeping hydrated is paramount when you are pregnant? Staying hydrated also helps with nausea. For even better hydration and extra electrolytes, snack on pineapples. To beat nausea, pop some SweetTarts. Trust me, they do the job like all of these tips and tricks! Xoxo, Olivia

Last week we celebrated A Pea in the Pod’s new and exclusive collection with Rachel Zoe in Los Angeles at The Chateau Marmont. The hotel is timeless and every bit glamourous, a perfect choice for the intimate gathering in honor of Rachel and her first ever maternity collection.
Upon arriving, Rachel, who donned a one shoulder black caftan, and husband Rodger excitedly shared photos taken earlier in the day of sons Skyler Morrison and Kaius Jagger. Hollywood mammas and mammas-to-be Jaime King, Casey Wilson, Vanessa Lachey, Tiffani Thiessen, Claire Coffee and Elizabeth Berkley joined the fete soon after. We all indulged in mocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres like pesto parmesan tortellini skewers and parmesan cups filled with mozzarella, tomato and basil.
Jaime, Casey, Tiffani and Claire all wore pieces from the Rachel Zoe Collection for A Pea in the Pod, opting for the Printed Caftan Maternity Dress, Exposed Zipper Maternity Mini Dress, Sleeveless Maternity Maxi Dress and Printed Shift Maternity Dress. I love how each made her outfit her own, really demonstrating the versatility of the collection and how flattering the pieces are on different figures. Casey chose a leopard printed open-toe high heel (totally glam!) while Claire added a denim jacket, for a more playful yet chic statement. Jaime, who wore her hair long and flowing, nailed the quintessential Bohemian aesthetic Rachel’s pieces are known for. Plus, she brought the best accessory of the night by far—her mom!
The party ended on a sweet note with to-go boxes from Dana’s Bakery which included birthday cake flavored macarons, a precursor to another party Rachel would be attending later in the week: son Skyler Morrison’s fourth birthday party!
