Seasonal Sweaters

maternity sweatersAs the frigid cold moves out and the warmer temps take over, heavy knits and sweaters will soon head into hibernation. With a keen eye still on layering, try a lightweight sweater in seasonal styles that will carry you through the transitional weather. From short sleeves to sleeveless, pretty patterns, breathable fabrics and flattering silhouettes replace the bulkiness of winter’s chunky toppers. Sleek, stylish and sophisticated, they are ready and waiting to frame and flatter your bump.

Holiday Looks for Now & Later: Part 2

maternity dress

Beyond the festive parties and gatherings with friends, at the heart of the Holidays is family. From Thanksgiving to Christmas Day, chances are, you will be welcoming the festive season (and the New Year) with your loved ones. While not the time for your sparkling swing mini cocktail dress, a thin, rib knit dress in a longer length and formfitting silhouette will do the trick.

Ultra stretchy and immensely comfortable, Copywriter Leigh Calarco and Online Marketing Manager Michelle Scarpato, both model this closet staple, a ¾ Sleeve Striped Maternity Dress by BCBGMAXAZRIA. From the flattering boat neck to the shape-defining stripes, it’s the perfect casual-yet-still-special holiday wear that can be easily accessorized with a pair of booties and a thin cardigan such as Michelle’s Long Sleeve Open Front Maternity Cardigan.

Flattering while pregnant, and also while not (thank you, rayon/spandex stretch!), it’s a win-win dress with plenty of appeal.

Stay tuned for our final glam approach to pre- and postnatal dressing – holiday edition!

L by JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT to Launch this Spring

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Not only is Jennifer Love Hewitt an actress and mother-to-be, she is now adding the title of designer to the list! With an expected launch for spring 2014 and in collaboration with A Pea in the Pod®, JLH has created an exclusive capsule collection entitled, L by JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT!

“Like other moms-to-be, I had to dress for my new figure but I hoped that wouldn’t mean sacrificing my personal style,” said Jennifer. To have the opportunity to bring my own perspective to such an established brand and to collaborate on a collection that other moms-to-be can wear and feel great in has made this time in my life even more special.”

The 15-piece collection will include comfy-chic separates in a soft color palette to be worn while pregnant and beyond including flowing maxi dresses, dressed-up leggings, casual and soft tees and a French terry jacket that is perfect for layering.

We are thrilled to welcome JLH into our family and cannot wait to purchase her easy-to-wear maternity styles!
