April showers may bring May flowers, but March brings SPRING! So, we want to celebrate the start of the new season with maternity dresses that are not only shower ready, but are perfect for your gender reveal (check out those blue and pink prints), are eggcelent for Easter (yes, we went there) and meet the dress code for that upcoming wedding.
We want to highlight the textured lace overlay of the first maternity dress, which is just blossoming with pink and blue buds. We love the above-the-bump belt, which makes for a form-flattering silhouette. If flowers are just not your scene [gasp!], we have this beauty in a gorgeous shade of green too.
The second maternity dress is garden party perfection. This maternity maxi has a surplice neckline, giving a wrap-top effect, plus an empire waistline, which our pregnant customers rely on time and time again for comfort, fit and its versatility to last way past pregnancy. Super slinky and soft material is why we love it too. To shop all the floral fashion, click here. Welcome to spring!

Depending on where you live, you may be soaking up the sun or shoveling the snow. The start of spring is fickle, which is why transitional maternity styles are the most essential. No matter what the skies are doing in your area, you can still be a FASHION-FORWARD force of nature!
The classic leggings and tee pairing is an actual live-in look. You can get up, go for your morning walk (even if you need to use the treadmill because of ice!), throw on a maternity cardigan and head to brunch. These maternity leggings are fresh in floral for spring, and the crochet pocket maternity tee is channeling warm weather in a pretty pop of coral-pink.
The not so basic maternity basics are light enough to be layered over, can be dressed up or down and worn with virtually any shoe: boots, flats, sneaks and flip flops too. Get ready for some fresh air, a warm breeze or even a cool burst of wind, because with your new glow and your new clothes you are truly a natural beauty.

The thing we like about our pajamas, you know besides the unbelievable softness, stretch and comfort, is that they can be used way past the bump stage and right into feeding or cuddling your new baby stage. We call our maternity sleepwear, nursing sleepwear, because we know that pregnancy really lasts “four trimesters.” As contradictory as that sounds, those first three months are an extension of pregnancy… just with a living, breathing being.
Our newest sleepwear is perfect to show you while rounding out our Week of Sleep. These maternity pajama pants and nursing nightgown are both featured in our fresh floral print. We paired the bottoms with the “I Love You More Than Sleep” maternity and nursing sleep shirt and topped our best-selling nightgown with our light pink nursing robe.
All pieces are seasonally transitional, trimester transitional, as well as interchangeable with each other. We hope you are sleeping like an actual BUMP on a log, but if not, we then hope this past week has given you some tips, styles and products to consider for making every night a good night. So, here’s to happy days and restful nights!

Now is the time of year when we spring ahead by adjusting our clocks. You may lose an hour of sleep (check out our Snoogle post and look for our maternity sleepwear post to ensure you get some good ZZZs regardless), but the sun stays out longer and goes down later.
Therefore, we are bringing you some styles filled with bright colors, transitional sleeves and lighter fabrics to make you get out and about, while letting your glow be the true source of light.
You can shop the maternity top featured OR shop all our new light-loving maternity styles now that spring has almost, unofficially, practically sprung; just click here. Remember to check back for our next post completing the Week of Sleep!

Some style just speaks to you; in this case… quite literally. Gender reveal parties are amazing when they require dresses, especially our blue and pink ones made specifically for the occasion, but we also love a low-key party. Sometimes the bump craves a soft maternity tee. And, we have EXACTLY the tops you’re going to need.
Sporting team boy or team girl logos, blue or pink graphics or a top for the neutral mama, you can find the style that works. So, let everything else but your style be the surprise. OR – let your style be the surprise with “It’s a Girl” and “It’s a Boy” maternity shirts! Keep checking out our blog and Instagram for new ways to reveal the big news and tag us (@motherhoodmaternity) in your posts wearing these maternity graphic tees. Happy Gender Reveal!

Gender reveal parties are becoming as big or bigger than baby showers, without the pressure, but with all the excitement. There are so many ways to announce whether or not baby is going to be a boy or girl and we are the place to come for that inspiration. Let us be the source of all things gender reveal. We’ve been behind the scenes meeting with the best of the best in party planning, racking our collective brains to come up with the cutest themes and are almost ready to roll out the red carpet on this Gender Reveal initiative.
With help from the cutest maternity tees featuring “It’s a Boy!” and “It’s a Girl!” graphics, moustache decals, bows and more, plus the Gender Reveal Collection of blue with pink tops and dresses (they have ribbons that reveal), your outfit is already made. We want to be your one stop shop for planning, so we also are selling decorations, favors and supplies for Motherhood, as well as A Pea in the Pod. Make sure you check out our sister blog at 40weeksofchic.com for even more ideas!
Last, but not least, we are fully prepared with professional perspectives. First we will meet with Laura Himmelein, owner of Party Cake, Party Cake in Maplewood, New Jersey. The dark days of winter give east coasters major summer envy, while the west coasters reach for the beach and the middle of the country craves the coastal breeze. If you can’t set sail on the sea, test the waters with these mid-winter nods to nautical!
Maternity clothing already breaks bounds when it comes to flattering your shape, because most styles are made to accentuate the bump. So remember when shopping, stripes are slimming. We repeat: stripes are slimming. So many mamas shy away from the stripe, especially horizontal ones, but this sweater is lightweight, still warm enough for the chill in the air, and cute as a button — literally, because it is ribbed with buttons.
In the warmer months we preach the LWD, aka the Little White Dress, as the fresher take on the LBD. What about in the cooler months? Shake it up with a new LBD — Little Blue Dress. The deep tone of navy is of course flattering, much in the way black is; it’s still sophisticated, yet playful and versatile for work to weekend wear. This maternity dress features pretty pleats and a flowing fit.
To stay in the blue family, we top off our list, well… with a top. Navy is a neutral that plays well with others blues, so this flutter sleeve maternity blouse looks amazing with jeans, as well as more office-ready pants. Not into ruffles? Don’t feel blue… (sorry for the pun!) we have more navy maternity blouses you’ll love.
In a boat, on land, at work- these are the new waves of nautical maternity looks.

What does Valentine’s Day mean to you? At some point it may have meant dinner out, dancing and maybe a glass of wine. So what about this year? You’re pregnant, which means it’s alright to use that beautiful bump as a reason to order in, snuggle on the couch and sip a little ginger tea. It isn’t about sacrificing; it’s about indulging.
What is there not to love about maternity sleepwear that is made extra soft for your hardworking body? In shades of blush, rose and cranberry, it’s like making a cocktail of pretty pregnancy pajamas. Ask for a massage and use belly balms, oils and butters carefully crafted from expecting skincare. It is all about giving the bump a little extra TLC.
There is so much to love, so finishing the night off with glowing skin, a smooch from your honey and the feeling of your baby growing inside of you is the icing on the cake. Or… end the night with cake. Hey, you’re eating for two! Happy cravings and Happy Valentine’s Day. With Hugs & Kisses – Motherhood

Those who say nothing is perfect have never seen these ankle maternity pants. Why, you ask? Let us tell you the reasons.
- They are a skinny silhouette, which elongates the legs for a slimming effect, while still highlighting that beautiful bump.
- They are made with super stretch fabric, providing maternity style for all throughout your pregnancy and right into motherhood.
- They are extremely versatile, going from desk to dinner, flats to heels and brunch to breakfast. (Wait, what? You can sleep in them too? Well, maybe not… but they are comfy enough!)
- They come in a myriad of colors… yes, a myriad!
- They are one of our top-rated, mamas-in-the-making approved pants.
So, when we say show a little ankle, we mean every day. Sized from extra-small through extra-large, we know you will find your size. We don’t need to tell you all the places you’ll wear them or all the ways to style them… unless you want us to list that too!
Work, dinner, shopping, weekends, farmer’s market, picnic, friend’s house, apple picking ___ with heels, with sneaks, with mules, with flats, with ballet slippers, with shirts, with tanks, with tees, with plaids, with patterns, with graphics and definitely with this blouse.
