When cold weather hits, it’s time to bundle up your bump! Super soft and comfy cable knit sweaters are hot (quite literally!) this season and perfect for wrapping you and the babe up. Layering your maternity look not only keeps you warm, but allows you to peel off a piece if your temperature rises! Being pregnant means shifting from hot and cold quickly, so I always recommend wearing lots of layers. A draped stitched sweater can be worn over a seamless cami, plaid shirt over a light-weight sweatshirt, or layer on chunky scarves and hats for a fun look. Stay nice and cozy indoors or take your layered look outside for some fun in the frosty air. -Olivia

Statement maternity sweaters are hot for the cool months ahead. Luxe embellishments, chunky cables and fun graphic prints (like lips, stars and hearts) take maternity sweaters to the next level. I love that you can dress up a fun sweater with heels and leather leggings or go completely downtown chic with destructed denim and booties. I always invest in statement pieces every season, since they’re fun to build outfits with, and they become a reflection of my own personality.
I think maternity basics are a necessary foundation in any woman’s pregnancy wardrobe. With that said, I also believe that investing in stand-out pieces make your style more personalized. Like their name suggests, they make a statement! You’ll get mileage out of a great maternity sweater too, since they’re designed with the bump in mind, look great layered AND will look just as cute later, sans baby bump. You know I’m all about reinventing my favorite pieces each season! And, you can too. -Olivia

Finally, for some extra bits and pieces of versatility, add a strand of pearls and a pair of patent heels to dress it up, or throw on a blazer and pair of brightly colored flats for a more understated approach.

If you haven’t heard already, take it from us, grey is the new black. A cool take on a color that goes with just about anything, grey exhibits the moody depth we love to wear with all of the season’s trends. A shade that lends a bit of edge to your maternity look, try pairing a chunky grey knit, bump-skimming top or a fabulous coat with deep blue skinny jeans or leggings with a touch of leather. Dressed up with some sparkle or dressed down to lounge, grey without a doubt, the IT color.
