Last weekend, we celebrated our exclusive collection with style maven Rachel Zoe by throwing shopping celebrations in select A Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity stores throughout the country. While shopping, guests enjoyed macarons from Dana’s Bakery personalized with our hashtag #RachelZoexAPIP in flavors like chocolate molten and jelly doughnut- YUM! Décor included all white floral arrangements with peeled back roses and hydrangeas (Rachel’s favorites).
I had the pleasure of hosting two of the events in sunny Aventura and Coral Gables, Florida. It was so much fun to meet with clients and introduce them to the collection! I was able to advise on the best ways to style the bump while helping the expecting moms-to-be shop for their maternity essentials and wardrobe.Los Angeles-based blogger Leanne Barlow hosted the event in Beverly Hills and looked GORGEOUS in the Rachel Zoe Printed Caftan Maternity Dress.
Bloggers Nicole Gonzalez of Lillies and Leon, who also donned the caftan, and Staci Acquasanta of Leather and Leops, who rocked the Rachel Zoe Exposed Zipper Maternity Mini Dress, hosted the event in New York. Plus, DreamDry,the premier blowdry and styling salon co-founded by Rachel, held a braid bar to add even more boho-chic flair.
Don’t fret if you missed our events! The collection is available online and in stores.
Hope to see you at our future shopping events! Xoxo- Olivia

Fashionistas and runway reports agree: prints are taking center stage when it comes to spring trends. Whether it’s floral, plaid, animal or striped, prints are everywhere from tops and dresses to shoes and accessories.
Olivia Capone Myers, Design Director for A Pea in the Pod, touches on this exciting trend: “Impactful prints are an easy way to add a little punch to your wardrobe. Prints are great to wear during your pregnancy and add an element femininity and playfulness to simple silhouettes. There are so many options to try this spring.”

A Pea in the Pod’s spring collection evokes a casual, nautical style that is perfect for warmer weather. From chambray blues and preppy stripes to comfortable linen fabrics, the A Pea in the Pod Design Team focused on sea-inspired colors for this season’s collection:
“Our ‘Port of Call’ delivery for spring is based on sea faring islands with a soft vintage feel. The collection includes a wide array of bold stripes, crochet work, mixed media, mosaic and paisley prints paired with light wash denim. An indigo and chambray blue color story is the foundation of this group with pops of fuchsia and an increasing presence of white, which we will continue into the summer season.”
Key pieces include a flowy, 3/4 Sleeve Dress in a blue and white mosaic print, perfect for your spring baby shower. Spring’s must-have chambray convertible sleeve shirt creates a casual-chic look when paired with our Secret Fit Belly® Linen Cargo Pocket Maternity Crop Pants. Our bump-flattering Cap Sleeve Boat Neck Maternity T Shirt combined with our Secret Fit Belly® Cuffed Maternity Crop Jeans will keep you both comfortable and stylish throughout the season

Chevron-like stripes in a classically sharp black and cream palette provide a stunning base to this Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique short sleeve maternity dress. The breathable cotton-nylon-spandex combination is detailed with a bump-defining belt and all-over lace that provides gorgeous texture and luxe femininity. We think it’s the perfect piece to don to any one (or all) or your holiday gatherings, and only needs a simple black pump, delicate jewels and a sleek clutch.

Beyond the festive parties and gatherings with friends, at the heart of the Holidays is family. From Thanksgiving to Christmas Day, chances are, you will be welcoming the festive season (and the New Year) with your loved ones. While not the time for your sparkling swing mini cocktail dress, a thin, rib knit dress in a longer length and formfitting silhouette will do the trick.
Ultra stretchy and immensely comfortable, Copywriter Leigh Calarco and Online Marketing Manager Michelle Scarpato, both model this closet staple, a ¾ Sleeve Striped Maternity Dress by BCBGMAXAZRIA. From the flattering boat neck to the shape-defining stripes, it’s the perfect casual-yet-still-special holiday wear that can be easily accessorized with a pair of booties and a thin cardigan such as Michelle’s Long Sleeve Open Front Maternity Cardigan.
Flattering while pregnant, and also while not (thank you, rayon/spandex stretch!), it’s a win-win dress with plenty of appeal.

Showing off our favorite dresses that can be worn now (while pregnant) and later (while not), two of our gorgeous in-house gals, Copywriter Leigh Calarco and Online Account Manager Michelle Scarpato, model three holiday-perfect looks for the season.
First up from Motherhood Maternity, the ubiquitous stripe trend in a black and gray combo takes center stage. Perfect for the office holiday party, the fitted silhouette of this Long Sleeve Slim Fit Maternity Dress by Jessica Simpson flawlessly accentuates Leigh’s bump thanks to the soft and stretchy material. Equally as flattering on Michelle, she frames her figure with a fitted Cascade Blazer while both add a warm layer of tights, on-trend booties and gold accessories.
